My 2018 summer bucket list is filled with many ideas this year. I have an almost 2-year-old and sometimes its difficult to go anywhere with her. But I am not going to let that stop me from having a fulfilling summer this year. I want to be able to take my daughter places that I know she would love to see. Now that she is a little older, it would be great to get out more often and explore. It’s really fun to see how she reacts to first-time things. I feel I get to know her on a deeper level. And as a mom, I get so excited when there is a learning/teaching moment for the both of us. I want my daughter to see and appreciate things the way that I do.
As I’ve mentioned in my previous posts, we tend to go hiking whenever we can. Just this summer, we went hiking in the Allegheny National Forest. The scenery is as beautiful each year as always. And the sound of nature is as calming as it always is too.
There is so much to see and there are tons of trails to get lost on. But aside from hiking, there are still a ton of things that I would love to do before the summer is over. The end of summer will be here before you know it, so I will be sharing my 2018 summer bucket list with you. This list is filled with ideas that are for me and my family. But I also included ideas that I wanted to do myself.
2018 Summer Bucket List:
Places to go:
Petting zoo/Animal farm
Flea market events
Have a weekend getaway
Get a pedicure
Go to a fair or festival
Things to do:
Create a new favorite summer drink
Get a new summer look (i.e. haircut and color)
Paint furniture and DIY new projects
Jogging/Walking a few times a week
Catch up with old friends
Host a summer party with friends and family
Have a campfire and make smores
Have a cookout/dinner party
What is on your 2018 summer bucket list? I hope I get to accomplish all of these this year. But next summer, I want to travel a little more and discover new places to see. We are hoping to travel to Colorado or Nashville for our next destination. It would be nice for us to make it a tradition to travel somewhere new each year.
