Lately, I have been obsessing over the neutral modern vibes that I have been seeing on Pinterest. The other day I was searching for bedroom decor ideas for my toddler and I found some pretty inspiring ideas that I could easily incorporate with her new bedroom. It’s exciting now that we have just bought our first home and I am drooling over the endless possibilities of what I can do for interior decoration. I’ve spent many years dreaming of the ideas I’ve gotten from Pinterest and now I finally get to implement them after renting for so long.
Now that I have these ideas stuck in my head, it was time for me to explore some options that I had. I don’t have a very large budget. But I still wanted to make our home feel like it was inviting. Those pretty pictures that you see all the time on Pinterest have some very expensive products that would burn a hole through my wallet. Still, I thought that there was some way I could try to make my daughter’s bedroom look like that without having to spend a fortune. Thankfully, it is a possibility and I am going to list those items right here for you.

What I absolutely love
Surprisingly, some of these items came from Walmart. But I can’t be mad about that. I’m not in love with everything at Walmart like I am with Target or IKEA. But they still have some pretty neat items that are great for adding a little inspiration. Some of these things I had no idea Walmart sells. After seeing some of their ads on my Facebook newsfeed, I had to check out some of their stuff because I do love their prices.
While I was shopping the other day, I stumbled upon IKEA’s website. Because I had not shopped there in a long time, I wasn’t sure what they would have. I got all excited surfing their products because some of the things that I had seen on Pinterest was the exact style that IKEA carried and they had great prices too. This style that I am talking about is mostly mid-century modern with the same neutral monochromatic look. But if you mix it up with some rustic, boho, or vintage furniture pieces with lots of detail and pops of color then it’s not so boring and minimalistic looking.
Aside from the furniture, I was most excited to find the section where they had artificial plants. I’ve always wanted to add fake plants into my home. But if you’ve looked around, artificial plants can be really expensive. So I never bothered to look around for those items. But IKEA has great prices on them and you should definitely check them out.
Some of these items I had already bought for that neutral modern vibes look. And I can’t wait to get started on my daughter’s room. For example, the blue pillow with the decorative buttons was a lot bigger than I had anticipated. And I love it, especially for the price! I also received the sweater knit throw pillow and it is gorgeous. I’m in love with the boho chic vibe that it gives off and it will look perfect in my daughter’s room. I am just waiting for her other pieces to arrive so I can show off her neutral modern vibes bedroom reveal. What do you think of this look?
