Do you have a self care routine? If not, then why don’t you? Is it because you feel that you don’t have enough time? It’s easy to become distracted with many things in your life. But maybe you should start with one and make time for it today. Having your own self care routine is important for your own mental health and physical self. A self care routine doesn’t mean you need to take an hour long soak in the tub. There are different ways to take care of your own self. And sometimes you just have to get creative with it. In fact, I have a free self care starter workbook that you can download in the freebies library when you sign up for weekly newsletters for Pretty Crafty and Wanderful.
What I like to do for my self care routine.
As part of my self care routine, I like to save it for a Sunday. And the reason why that is because it gives me a little refresher if I’ve had a crazy week. It also helps prepare me for a new start with the week ahead. I like to incorporate self care on Sunday by getting up a little earlier than my daughter and husband. I just enjoy drinking my coffee and sit there with no digital items on hand. Then I’ll shower and use my coconut and rose salt scrub. And then I’ll put on a clay mask and a face moisturizer after.
I’m not really the type to have so many beauty products. In fact, I’m pretty basic when it comes to beauty. But I do love to feel relaxed and have a lazy Sunday. I just recently added a salt scrub to my self care routine and I’m totally okay with never looking back. It’s sort of become a newfound obsession and it’s made me inspired to look into making my own natural organic salt scrubs.
This is the scrub that I just recently bought and there are no regrets. It smells delicious, makes my skin feel oh so soft, and it takes all the stress away. I’ve never felt more rejuvenated.

So, what are the benefits of using salt scrubs?
It’s no secret that salt scrubs are beneficial to you. By all means, this isn’t anything new, but if you’re not familiar with the benefits, they are great for replenishing, removing dead skin, and it stimulates the production of healthy skin cells. It also makes your skin feel soft after exfoliating, and it gives your skin a cleaner feel. The only thing that’s new to me is the ingredients used in this product. It contains coconut oil and rose extract.
What’s so great about coconut oil and rose extract?
Coconut oil is amazing for your skin. It’s useful for things like moisturizing the skin and it has vitamin E. But did you also know that coconut oil has anti-microbial properties? This means that you can use coconut oil to fight acne or eczema if you have really dry skin. And rose extract also contains antioxidants, Vitamins A, C, D and E, and other minerals. It’s properties make it useful for hydrating dry and sensitive skin.
When should you use a coconut rose salt scrub?
I’ve been using the Coconut and Rose Salt Scrub once a day while I’m in the shower. The one that I have is used as a body scrub only. So I tend to use this on my shoulders, hands, and feet. But my favorite use for this salt scrub is right after shaving my legs. And I have to say, my legs have never felt more smooth before this.
You can also use salt soaks if you are more of a bath person and you enjoy soaking in the tub. But if it’s a day where you just need to use a beauty product quickly before your on the go, then I suggest using the salt scrub while your washing your hands. It’ll make your hands feel super clean and really smooth. That makes it useful for anyone who gets dry hands in the winter. I know I get a little bit of eczema where my wedding ring sits, and the coconut rose salt scrub has helped tremendously for healing my dry skin.
Now you may be thinking, why not just use a moisturizer while you’re on the go? To be honest, I’ve used all kinds of moisturizers and it’s just not the same effects that I get using a salt scrub. Plus, I feel like I have to keep using a moisturizer over and over again.
